We're excited to offer Ruahine AFC Fusion, a program designed to provide the opportunity for players to participate in Junior & Youth Football Games and Development all year round... one term at a time.

Ruahine AFC Fusion is a 'fusion' of Futsal and Football. It is a form of 'training' predominantly supported by competetive small games; with the ultimate objective of seeing young players increase their love of football. Run and facilitated professionally by Ben Mathews, (with the support of other coaches), young players are encouraged to experiment with their skill to solve different problems within games, and making mistakes won't be frowned upon. 

Spaces are limited for the programme, so we are calling for serious expressions of interest to help us put grops together. You have a choice of participating in both 'football' and/or 'futsal'... please indicate below which programs you wish to participate in. Invoices will follow once groups and participants are confirmed.


Please note that these programmes are faciliated by Ruahine AFC only, and are completely separate from the normal outdoor winter footballl program afilliated to Central Football. Here's what you need to know:

INDOOR FUTSAL

  • This is an 8 week program - which allows for any cancelations due to unforseen circumstances arising for the coaches
  • Futsal is a fast & furious version of the game, played inside on wooden floors (basketball sized court) with a heavier & slightly smaller ball.
  • Players love improving their own individual skills & becoming faster at decision making, while learning what it means to work together as a team to create many goal scoring opportunites (which is what most players enjoy the most).
  • Spaces are limited so please only register your interest if you're serious about commiting for the term.
  • Dedicated futsal shoes will give more grip and control however any indoor shoes can be worn. Shin pads are recommended.
  • Fees for each term are $120 ($15.00 per session). If registering for both Futsal and Football the fees will be reduced to $108 per programme (i.e. $13.50 per session equating to $216 for the term).

FUTSAL Term 2 2025:

**FULL** Monday: U11 Seventh Day Adventist Church - 257 Ferguson St (4:45-6:00pm) - 8 weeks - Commencing APR 28th 2025

**FULL** Tuesday: U11 Ross Intermediate School Gym - Freyberg St (4:00-5:10pm) - 8 weeks - Commencing APR 29th 2025

Tuesday: U13 Ross Intermediate School Gym - Freyberg St (5:15-6:30pm) - 8 weeks - Commencing APR 29th 2025

Wednesday: U15 Seventh Day Adventist Church - 257 Ferguson St (5:45-7:00pm) - 8 weeks - Commencing APR 30th 2025

Fees:
1 session per week = $120 per term ($15.00 per session).
2 sessions per week = $108 per programme ($13.50 per session) = $216 per term.

An invoice with payment details will be sent in a separate email to the confirmation email you will receive upon completing this form.

The 8 week program allows for any cancelations over the 10 week term due to unforseen circumstances, allowing us to reschedule a session if needed.

FOOTBALL
**note: Term 2 and 3 Football is run through winter teams. The information below is for Term 1 & Term 4 in 2025.

  • This is an 8 week program - which allows for any cancelations due to weather or unforseen circumstances arising for the coaches
  • Play is fast & competetive, with lots of short passing, mixed with plenty of opportunities to improve both 1v1 and group attacking skills in larger spaces. 
  • Spaces are limited so please only register your interest if you're serious about commiting for the term.
  • Training will take place on the grass at Wallance Park. Shin pads are recommended.
  • Fees for each term are $120 ($15.00 per session). If registering for both Futsal and Football the fees will be reduced to $108 per programme (i.e. $13.50 per session equating to $192 for the term).

U10 - U13 (players turning 10-13 in 2025)

Thursday's during TERM 1
Time: 4:00-5:15pm
Venue: Wallace Park.
Dates: Starting 6th February 2025 (8 Weeks)
